Angular Material is a popular open-source UI framework. It comes with a lot of components like user interface elements, icons, and styling options.
1. Plan and design UI components beforehand and have knowlage of all components and their posibilities
Before the start of development, invest time in planning and designing your UI components so you know your exact usecase and requirements. Angular Material provides a huge set of pre-designed components and choosing the right one for your usecase isn't always simple. Multiple components often have overlapping functionlities and only through custimization of each of them can you get the "perfect" component for what we want.
E.g. autocomplete and select are very similar components with very similar design but both cover different useceases and knowing of the existance of both will stop you from trying to customise one to act like a another component.
2. Use Angular Material theming system
Angular Material comes with a powerful theming system that allows you to create a consistent design across your application. Use the theming capabilities to define primary and accent colors, typography and other visual elements. By centralizing your styling decisions through theming, you can easily update the entire application's appearance without modifying individual components.
3. Optimize module imports
Angular Material modules are modular and can be selectively imported based on what do you need in your application. You can only include the modules that your application needs to reduce the overall bundle size. This approach not only improves performance but also streamlines your codebase by avoiding unnecessary dependencies.
4. Flex layout
Angular Material components integrate with Angular Flex Layout, providing a way to hande responsive design. Use Flex Layout to create responsive layouts that adjust to different screen sizes. This ensures a consistent user experience across various devices and resolutions.
